O nas
When it comes to dependable engines, the Toyota 22R engine sits at the top. Introduced in the early 1980s, it became the backbone of Toyota’s small truck lineup. With a displacement of 2.4 liters and a single overhead cam design, it balances simplicity with performance. The cast-iron block ensures long-term strength, while the aluminum head promotes efficient heat management. Producing about 100 horsepower, the 22R delivers the kind of torque that makes it perfect for utility and off-road applications. Even decades later, parts are easy to find and maintenance remains simple. For anyone restoring a classic Toyota pickup or 4Runner, the Toyota 22R engine offers unbeatable dependability and timeless performance.
