For example, patient records could be directly stored on a decentralized blockchain network, it thus becoming harder to access and tamper with the data. In addition, hospitals and clinics may safely share medical records, an activity that can better care for patients.
Use in Pharma: I found this interesting, that blockchain allows one to track the whole supply chain of a drug, from manufacturing to delivery. It will consequently eliminate fake medicines that pierce through to patients' care and pose a bigger challenge witnessed within the pharmaceutical industry.
Clinical trials : Blockchain will also make clinical trials easier in the sense that the data collected will be tamper-proof. This means that no person will alter the results, highly crucial for quality research.
Cost Savings: It appears that blockchain can help reduce a lot of administrative costs in healthcare by automatically processing things like insurance claims and patient consent forms.
