Jagex have announced, after 18 years of being the battleground for PvP, Duel Arena will be ending its presence in RuneScape and a new area will be added. RuneScape will launch Het's Oasis, with an all-new environment, new methods of acquiring skills, and two new mini-quests that you can play.

This morning, the Oasis Restoration participants will be charged in the renovation of the Duel Arena following a cataclysmic earthquake that has destroyed the area. It is up to the players to collaborate to transform the stadium from "a blood-sucking fighting pit where the greatest heroes have been staking their wealth through one-on-1 matches as well as a tranquil haven."

Players will be able to reconstruct the space as they complete daily chores which will pay them rewards in line with their achievements. Those who take part in the community event will get exclusive event rewards which include a brand-new name, a crocodile as a pet, desert-themed cosmetic armour, and footwear 'Gators.

After the two-week community celebration the new area will be called Het's Oasis - an area of learning and exploration that will feature new skill-related content for those looking to boost their Agility, Hunter , and Farming abilities.
