How to Recycle the Valuable Resource in the Construction Waste?

Construction is an integral part of human development and progress. As living standards and technology advance, buildings are constantly renovated or rebuilt, generating massive amounts of construction waste. This waste not only occupies land but also pollutes the environment, posing a threat to people’s living conditions. However, with proper handling, construction waste can be transformed into valuable resources, serving as raw materials for new building materials.
Effective recycling of construction waste involves targeted separation and processing of different components:
Recovery of Ferrous Metals

Steel structures, door and window frames often contain ferrous metals like steel bars and iron parts. Magnetic separation equipment, such as electromagnetic overhead separators, can efficiently extract iron scraps from mixed waste. These devices use magnetic force to attract and separate iron materials, ensuring high purity in recycling.

Sorting of Non-Ferrous Metals

Aluminum window frames and copper components (e.g., locks) require specific treatment. After crushing by a crusher, eddy current separators are used to separate aluminum and copper from other materials. The eddy current effect generates repulsive force on non-ferrous metals, enabling precise sorting and recycling.
Reclamation of Concrete and Bricks

Concrete blocks and bricks can be crushed into uniform particles by crushers. Subsequent washing with spiral sand washers removes impurities, and dewatering screens eliminate excess water and fine sludge, producing clean sand. This recycled sand is suitable for making new concrete or building mortar.

By recycling metals and sand from construction waste, we reduce resource depletion and environmental pollution. This approach not only aligns with the concept of sustainable development but also creates economic value. As urbanization accelerates, promoting construction waste recycling will play a crucial role in building a greener future.
